Plan A Visit & FAQs
Join us for a Sunday service at 10 a.m. the highlight of our gatherings. We’re committed to making you feel at home and understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Please grab free books, movies, and more in our lobby as our welcome to you! In the meantime, we’ve anticipated some of your questions and provided answers below.
Do you have something for children?
Absolutely! Our services are collaborative, with children singing alongside adults. We believe kids are the future of the church, and we warmly embrace the sounds of babies cooing and view guiding a restless child as a meaningful teaching moment for children to learn to engage in worship, observing their parents’ example.
For young children (ages 4-10), our Kids Ministry program offers an engaging experience with Scripture taught on their level. Simply sign in your kids, and they’ll be dismissed after our worship time. We also provide a private nursery room and mother’s lounge downstairs with a livestream of the service.
For older children joining their parents in the sanctuary, we offer free sermon notebooks in our lobby resource area to help them engage with the sermon message. We delight in the Lord and are grateful to welcome your family to worship with us.
What will services be like?
Experience an uplifting morning filled with heartfelt worship, a Bible-based message, and the warmth of our welcoming community. Our service begins with brief updates, followed by praise and worship. Younger children (ages 4–10) can enjoy age-appropriate classes, while adults and older children dive into an engaging Bible study. We conclude with a closing song, prayer, and fellowship over refreshments downstairs.
What is the message (expository teaching) like?
You can expect to receive a solid Bible study that challenges you to grow at every service.
When reading a book, it’s unlikely that you would start with the last chapter, jump to a random section in the middle, and then read a few sentences here and there. Instead, you would typically read it from start to finish, in order, to fully understand the content.
The same is true with the Bible, we must first comprehend what the Bible actually says. God gave man all 66 books in the Bible, and we believe it’s essential that we study every single book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, from Genesis to Revelation to fully appreciate the Author’s message.
How do I get there?
Sundays @ 10:00 am – 1500 S Cascade St, Fergus Falls, MN 56537
If you’re coming from downtown, pass the Lake Region Hospital and continue on S Cascade St for half a mile towards the Prairie Wetlands.
If you’re coming from Interstate 94, take Exit 57 near the Prairie Wetlands and then take a left on S Cascade St for another half a mile.
What should I wear?
We’re way more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear to church. But so you’ll feel comfortable, know that most folks dress in casual weekend attire, and even the pastor will be wearing jeans (and probably a flannel shirt). So dress modestly and comfortable, and you’ll fit right in!
Is the facility handicapped accessible?
For those with mobility needs, we’ve reserved convenient handicap parking spots right next to the front door, leading directly into our sanctuary. Our office area bathroom is also upstairs, with plans underway to expand and enhance accessibility.
While our dining hall and children’s ministry areas are downstairs and currently accessible only by stairs, we’ve designated nearby parking spaces for your convenience.
Why don’t you take a formal offering?
We firmly believe that where God guides, He is always faithful to provide. As our guest, we want you to come and get to know us, without feeling any pressure to have to give. We do provide an offering box, so people can give if they’d like, and many people use our online giving option as well. We also believe that those who call this church their spiritual home should give generously and wholeheartedly to support the ministry.
Do you baptize babies?
Baptism is an act of obedience on the part of the individual believer in Jesus. It is an outward sign of an inward work, that has already taken place. Therefore, we do not believe it is biblical to baptize infants. However, we do believe that children are a gift from God, a gift that we need His help to steward. So, on occasion, we do dedicate our children to the Lord, during our services.
Why are children dedicated to the Lord?
The act of publicly dedicating children is an encouragement to the parents and the entire church as the family commits their home and children before the congregation. The congregation agrees to accept responsibility to help the parents raise the children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
