Kids Ministry (ages 4-10)

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 NKJV

Kids are welcome in worship! Following worship, kids will be dismissed to head downstairs for their class. Please sign-in your kids on the clipboard near the offering box before the service begins.

We are the church that loves kids and believes they are the future of the church. Our teachers have fun helping kids learn the Bible on their level using the Answers Bible Curriculum from Answers In Genesis. We desire for all ages to be equipped to defend their faith, as they learn to apply God’s Word in their everyday lives.

We’re thrilled to have you and your child join us for a fun and meaningful time together. Our heart is to create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where your child can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Below are a few tips to help make our time together even more enjoyable:

  • Children in the Worship Service: We’d love for your child to join us! Check out our resources for ways to make their experience special.
  • Kids Ministry Area: For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that only approved adults accompany children in the Kids Ministry area.
  • Restroom Visits: To help keep things running smoothly, please ensure your child uses the restroom before the service begins.
  • Check-In/Check-Out Process: For your child’s safety, we ask that the same parent or guardian who signs a child in also signs them out, unless prior arrangements have been made with our Kids Ministry Director. Please keep your child’s ID badge handy, as it’s needed at sign-out.
  • Allergies: We want to keep your child safe! Please inform our Kids Ministry team of any food-related allergies and note them on the sign-in sheet.
  • Staying Connected: If we need to reach you during the service, a Kids Ministry team member will send a text to your cell phone. Please keep your phone on silent to avoid disrupting the teaching.

Our friendly Kids Ministry Director is here to help! Feel free to reach out—we’re excited to partner with you in this journey! Have questions or need assistance? Please contact our Kids Ministry Director.

At Calvary Chapel Fergus Falls, we’re passionate about creating a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment for your children to grow and thrive. Whether you’re interested in serving with our Kids Ministry or want to know more about how we keep your child safe, we’re excited to share our thorough safety and screening process. Here’s how we ensure our volunteers are ready to care for your kids with love and integrity:

  • Getting to Know You: Every potential volunteer starts by completing a Volunteer Background Form, sharing general information about themselves. This is followed by a warm, personal conversation with our Senior Pastor or Children’s Ministry Director to discuss your background, beliefs, and heart for serving.
  • Building Relationships: To foster trust and community, we ask that volunteers attend our church for at least six months. This time allows us to get to know you, your character, and your passion for working with children.
  • Comprehensive Background Checks: We partner with Protect My Ministry to conduct thorough background screenings, including:
    • National Sex Offender Search
    • National Criminal Database Search
    • SSN Verification and Address History (Please note: For the safety of our children, no one with a history of arrest or conviction for child abuse is permitted to serve)
  • Training for Excellence: All volunteers receive in-depth training on our Kids Ministry policies to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. This includes sign-in/sign-out procedures, emergency and medical protocols, classroom evacuation plans, health standards, reporting procedures for child safety concerns, and more.
  • Mentored Beginnings: New volunteers are paired with an experienced Kids Ministry leader for their first few weeks, ensuring they’re supported as they step into their role with confidence.
