Book: Parenting God’s Way by Alistair Begg

What is the greatest problem facing our nation? The most troubling road on which our country is traveling begins an ends at our down front doors. It’s all in the family. In this wisdom-packed booklet author Alistair Begg walks through being a father God’s way and being a mother God’s way.

Drawing from the book of Ephesians, Alistair provides clear and practical accountabilities for both mothers and fathers that are God ordained. When God’s design for parenting is followed, everyone in the family thrives, and children grow to healthy-minded, God-honoring adults.

This business of parenting, you see, is not for the timid, and it will take everything you have and everything you are for it involves everything God ever meant you to be. It is life’s grand adventure and one day your children will look to your example for guidance in becoming parents themselves. May God fill and bless your days as you take up the joy of parenting – His way.

Book: Leading Jesus’ Way (Become The Servant Leader God Created You To Be) by Mark Deterding

Jesus is the greatest leadership role model of all time. And anyone desiring to be a successful servant leader would be wise to follow in His footsteps. Yet learning how to lead others can be a daunting and difficult task, even in the workplace. In the book “Leading Jesus’ Way” author Mark Deterding shows that living out Biblical principles effects both our personal and professional life.

That’s right, you don’t have to live a segmented life. Being a Christian is the core of who you are – at work, at home, at church, and out in your community. This book will help you learn the principles of faith-based servant leadership and put them into practice. But the truth is the principles are really timeless, because they come from Jesus, the ultimate model of servant leadership.

Once you know your purpose, values, and vision you can serve and live out that mission wherever you go. And once the foundation is established, you can then focus on building energy, performance, relationships, and your own character. If you’re ready to take your faith to work, get great results, and build up the people you work with by really caring for them then this book is for you.

Book: When the Storms Hits (Staying Anchored On The Rock) by Chuck Smith

Sometimes when hardships come into our lives, we may think it is because we are doing something wrong. But sometimes those calamities come because of our obedience, not our disobedience. The truth is storms of trouble come to all of us at one time or another.

In the book “When the Storm Hits”, Pastor Chuck Smith brings encouragement to anyone struggling with life’s burdens. We love those green pastures and still waters. But we are not really excited about a valley. We love to follow the Lord when things are going the way we want them to go. But when we come across a rough patch, we put on the brakes. We don’t want to go through that hardship.

God may not always deliver us from the storms of life, but He is always faithful to be with us as we go through them. There are things we learn in hardships and trials that we don’t learn anywhere else. Where there are no trials in life, there are no triumphs. God has His purposes in the storms. And just as Jesus was with His disciples, He will be with us, too.

This book is a great read and I believe it will restore hope and peace to the weariest of believers!
