Boys on the Woodlands Trail (ages 5-10, similar to cub scouts) gain knowledge about outdoor skills, citizenship, character, friendship, and faith through fun activities, awards, and skill instruction. As Navigators, boys (ages 11-13, similar to boy scouts) gain understanding of their values and beliefs under the guidance of godly male role models through being responsible in outdoor adventures and in their home and school life. As Adventurers, young men (ages 14-17, similar to boy scouts) mature in wisdom and faith through more difficult challenges and leadership activities with Christian men walking alongside. They plan and lead outdoor events and large projects while exercising leadership positions in the Troop, even mentoring some of the younger Trailmen. MN-1977 is a troop located in Fergus Falls, MN and is connected with Trail Life USA which is an Outdoor Adventure, Character, and Leadership Development program based on biblical values with a mission to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.
Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered outdoor character development adventure program open to boys and young men aged 5 to 17. Boys will love the fun and adventure! Parents will love the commitment to a Christian worldview and moral consistency.
